The Boyd County Spartans traveled to Verdigre on Monday to play their second game of the season. Spartans dropped a 26-6 decision to the Cougars. The game started well for Boyd County, with Will Nelson securing a great kickoff return to open the game. Unfortunately, the Spartans could not hold onto the momentum. Charlie Adams scored the only touchdown for the Spartans. The team will travel to Stuart to take on the Broncos on Monday, September 20th.
