On Friday, October 4th, the Boyd County Spartans traveled to Verdigre to take on the Cougars under the lights. The final score was 39-0 with Niobrara/Verdigre earning the victory. Kolt Boettcher led the offense with 68 yards rushing, Kolt also had 2 tackles for loss, and a sack. Cory Koenig finished the night with 16 tackles, Dillon Koenig and Ethan McBride each picked the Cougar quarterback for one interception each.
The Spartans will be back home for their next game on Friday October 11th. The game is scheduled for a 2 PM kickoff and is also Parent's Night.
