The Boyd County Junior High Football team completed their season with a 16-52 loss to St. Mary's. The Spartans gave up an early score, but came back to tie with a long catch and run from Ben Tiefenthaler. Hudson Hoffman supplied the pass and the two hooked up on the two point conversion as well. The Spartans scored later when Hoffman crossed the goal line with a run up the middle. Tiefenthaler added the two point conversion on a double reverse.
The young Spartans showed improvement in the fundamentals throughout the season. The coaching staff enjoyed their enthusiasm and willingness to learn. The team will return a large number of players next year and hope to continue the improvement.
