BC Sophomores Get a Special Visit During World History

Former governor and senator, Bob Kerrey, zoomed in from his home in New York City to conduct a class with our 10th grade World History class. Senator Kerrey graciously volunteered to do this for his good friend, Mr. Jim Hiatt. He spoke to the students about the value of public service. The students got the chance to ask Senator Kerrey questions, which included inquiries about his medal of honor that he received for his service in the Vietnam war and how he was able to start his life again once he returned. This was an experience that the students will long remember, and we thank Senator Kerrey for taking the time out of his busy schedule to get in touch with Mr. Hiatt and offer to speak with them.
