MATHCOUNTS is a national math enrichment and competition program for middle school students designed to challenge and motivate students to develop strong math skills in preparation for the MATHCOUNTS competition. Two Boyd County Middle School students, 8th grader Lucas Filips and 7th grader Evan Hammon, attended the MATHCOUNTS Competition in Columbus to compete on Saturday, February 1st. Lucas ranked 13th of the 68 individual competitors!
