Boyd County JH golfers started the season on the Summerland Golf Course on Friday, April 8th. Summerland, West Holt, Elkhorn Valley, North Central along with Boyd County were the teams involved. Sveral BC golfers were gone, so others picked up the pace. Eighth graders, Alex Lectenberg and Koy Gonzales were the team leaders with seven new 7th graders. Seventh graders included Peyton Wichersham, Bryer Almgren, Adam Bernt, Cash Jockens, Khloe Gonzales, Myles Brooks and John Reiman. It was again a cool and very windy day but the team did well.The team score was 212 and that included the following scores:
- Koy Gonzales - 49
- Peyton Wickersham - 50
- Cash Jockens - 54
- Khloe Gonzales - 59
This was good enough for a 3rd place finish from the JH Spartan Golfers!
Two of the golfers placed individually as well:
- Koy Gonzales placed 8th
- Peyton Wickersham placed 10th
It was a good start for the young golfers, and a great learning experience. We are looking forward to the next meet at West Holt on April 21st!
