DISTRICT SPEECH
The BC speech team competed in district competition in Wausa Monday, March 1st! The BC team placed 4th overall. Each member of the team has worked hard this year, and we are proud of your efforts. Our 2022 season has come to an end, but this young team will come back stronger next year. Bring on 2023! The District medal winners are as follows:
- Entertainment - Brynn Almgren 5th
- Informative - McKenzie Snyder 6th
- Serious - Amelia Hakl 5th
- Duet - Liz Kersch and Zoey Kaczor 6th
- OID - McKenzie Snyder, Brynn Almgren, Liz Kersch, Zoe Kaczor, Brooklyn Eckert 4th
NORFOLK LUTHERAN HIGH SPEECH MEET
On February 25th the Boyd County speech team came home with some hardware from the Lutheran High speech meet in Norfolk.
- OID team of Brynn Almgren, Elizabeth Kersch, Zoe Kaczor, McKenzie Snyder, & Brooklyn Eckert with fifth place
- Duet of Elizabeth Kersch and Zoe Kaczor with sixth place
- McKenzie Snyder in Informative Speaking with fifth place.

AINSWORTH SPEECH MEET
Awakened by the brisk air of the wee morning hours, the Boyd County speech team traveled to Ainsworth on February 19th.
Coming home with medals were:
- Zoe (poetry) - 5th
- McKenzie (informative) - 4th
- Sam (informative) 6th
- Varsity OID (McKenzie, Liz, Zoe, Brynn, Brooklyn) - 3rd
- Brynn (entertainment) - 4th
- Liz & Zoe (duet) - 2nd
- Broklyn (novice humorous) - 1st.
The BC team placed 4th. No rest yet! This week will be filled with lots of practicing and polishing....Off to Norfolk on Friday!
