6th Grade Written and Performed Plays

February 09, 2021

Mrs. Kluckman's 6th grade class spent some time learning about the Drama Genre. Students learned the features and structure of reading and writing plays. They also learned about dialogue, characters, scenes, setting details, and stage directions. After reading and learning about dramas, the class was ready to give it a try. They were split into two groups, and had the hard work ahead of them of working with their group to write a play, complete with characters, dialogue and proper script formatting. It was stressed that it was very important that all members of their cast have a say in the plot, dialogue, and all other aspects of writing and performing their plays. After many days of hard work, rewrites, and practice they were ready to perform their plays for each other, and Mr. Shoff as our guest. It was awesome to see them work together so well, and the excitement they showed for this project was beyond amazing! I think we have some future One Act performers in this class, for sure! You can see the plays by clicking on the links below. You may have to turn up your volume, as we still have some shy ones in the class!
