We would like to officially welcome you and your student to Boyd County Preschool! It is an unusual situation this year, but Mrs. McBride and Mrs. Reiman want to reach out to you to let you know they missed seeing you at Preschool Round-up, due to Directive Health Measures, but are SO EXCITED to meet you and welcome you to Preschool.
We will make plans to have a Preschool Open House in late summer, but in the meantime, we want to share this important information with you, that would usually be shared during Preschool Round- up.
On our school website www.boydcounty.org, you will find a “Parents” tab. Please click on that tab and find “Preschool Forms”. Here you will find the essentials for registering your child for kindergarten. They include:
-A Registration form
-An updated Immunization form to be completed by your doctor. Some doctors may have their own form for you to bring to school. That will be fine.
-Don’t forget that we need an original copy of your child’s birth certificate, as well. You may bring that to school and we will make our own copy.
These forms may be brought all together when we are finally able to have our Open House.
Finally, we are interested to know which campus your child will be attending. There is a link on the school website under Parents Tab (Preschool) that will allow you to click on the campus you plan on attending. The survey will also be available on our school Facebook page.
Two important changes with our Preschool Program:
-At the BC Lynch campus: The Preschool program will be only available in the afternoon. The 3 year olds will attend Monday- Thursday. The Pre-Kindergarten (4K) will attend Monday through Friday.
-At the BC Butte campus: The 3 year olds will attend in the morning from Monday-Thursday. The Pre-kindergartners (4K) will attend in the afternoon from Monday- Friday.
We are excited to offer this extra day for our 4K Prekindergarten students this year! It will help develop the skills they may need as they enter kindergarten the next year.

Also, since we were not able to have an official Preschool Round-up, please help spread the word to our families who may have a Preschool eligible child. All children who are 3 to 4 years old and have not turned 5 years of age before July 31, 2020, may enroll for the 2020-2021 School Year.
